Master Distiller John Rempe‘s latest in a line of limited-issue Kentucky straight bourbon blends is set to release beginning in mid-April.
Blood Oath Pact No. 7 is a masterful union of three well-bred bourbons. The first, a 14-year extra-aged ryed bourbon. The second, an eight-year ryed bourbon. And finally, the third – another eight-year ryed finished in Sauternes wine casks imported from the Bordeaux region of France, giving this blend a strikingly complex balance of sweetness and spice.
Upon opening, Rempe’s exceptional blend hits the nose with the aroma of caramel and strong oak backed with a subtle hint of honey. At first sip your palate will recognize the smooth, earthy flavors of caramel and oak. Pact No. 7 finishes with a mouthfeel that evokes a warm combination of apricots, honey, and peaches.
The heart of this extraordinary and unique blend of Kentucky straight is comprised of bourbons rare and wonderful, famous and forgotten. This rare, previously never imagined combination shall never again be made.
Bottled and labeled in an arrangement of French blue color hues, Blood oath Pact No. 7 will launch with a limited allocation of only 51,000 bottles. Rempe shares his secret with bourbon connoisseurs this Spring.
