Job: Lux Row Brand Ambassador
Duties: My primary role is to provide a world-class guest experience by educating visitors about the Lux Row bourbon-making process and portfolio of brands. From time to time, I take the bourbon to the people by conducting tastings at regional bourbon events. Additionally, I assist the marketing team by creating on-site live social media content.
Education: Graduated from the University of Louisville in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in business administration and marketing.
Like fellow Lux Row Brand Ambassador Kelsey Lyon, Landon was born and raised in the Bourbon Capital of the World, so bourbon is in his blood. He’s your guy for advice about what to do in and around Bardstown, Kentucky, of course, but you’ll soon learn that bourbon isn’t his only love.

What’s the place in the world you’d most like to visit and why?
I’d love to visit Iceland. Despite its name and cold climate, I’ve seen images of the country’s breathtaking scenery, and it’s definitely near the top of my list. I’d love to hike the Icelandic countryside and visit a spectacular waterfall. I love taking photos, so this would be a beautiful place to capture some cool shots (pun intended).
How did you get into bourbon?
Being from Bardstown, bourbon really does run in my blood. If you don’t personally work at a distillery, you know someone who does. I’ve had several family members and friends employed at local distilleries for decades.
Before Lux Row, I worked at the Bardstown Tourism Commission for five years. I began working in tourism when I was just a senior in high school, and it really sparked the idea for my future career. After I graduated from the University of Louisville, I knew I wanted to dive into the booming bourbon business.
What’s your favorite day trip from Bardstown?
There’s so much to do within a short drive of Bardstown. You could spend an entire day in Louisville — just a 45-minute drive from Lux Row. From catching a horse race at the legendary Churchill Downs to watching a baseball game at Louisville Slugger Field to strolling through downtown’s Whiskey Row or Waterfront Park, there’s so much to see there. Of course, Kentucky is known for its bourbon, but Louisville is an exceptional food and craft beer city as well.
What’s the single best thing about Bardstown?
Bardstown is the definition of Small Town USA. It’s true that everyone knows one another, but the tight-knit community makes it a great place to grow up. How cool is it to say to outsiders that you’re from the Bourbon Capital of the World?
What’s the best part about working for Lux Row Distillers?
For anyone, at the end of the day, work will always be work. However, we’ve truly built an awesome team at Lux Row. We all have big personalities, and we’ve molded a work culture that makes the day enjoyable. We’ve created an environment that would be hard to come by at any other distillery on the Bourbon Trail. I think this translates to the experience that we provide to our guests, and it’s why we’re No. 1 on TripAdvisor.
